ADVENTURE TIME WITH QUENTIN
Birthday parties are often larger and more extravagant when a person reaches what is regarded in a culture as a milestone age, also considered a transition from childhood to adulthood.
Next to the first birthday, the seventh is one of the biggest celebrations families prepare for. By the time children reach seven, they are old enough to choose and decide on what kind of birthday party they would want to have.
A huge chunk of time and effort are spent to produce a magical experience in a children's party. Imagination, creativity, and multi-tasking are key ingredients in pulling off a unique party theme for 7 year old kids, who, by such time, already have a certain level of expectation in terms of what’s entertaining and fun.
Mommy Bianca Barretto Uy knows exactly all that. She, together with her husband, Moe, was all ears and gave full support to what her eldest son, Quentin, wanted for his birthday.
With the help of trusty event planner and stylist, Annie Lim, they conceptualized a fun-filled afternoon party dubbed as “Adventure Time with Quent” --- a spin off from a hit cartoon show on cable.
True to the cartoon’s setting and outline, Quent’s own party became an exciting adventure itself. Kids were treated to games and fun as they hopped around tables and joined in the activities. Annie even added simulations of the cartoon characters into the setup, which stirred up the kids’ excitement. The cake itself was a delightful sight, a 3D layered version of the main characters from the TV show.
Children and adult alike gamely joined the program. The room was an air of enjoyment and glee which pleased the brains behind the event, Bianca and Annie. On top of the colorful execution and cheerful farewells after the party, what was more rewarding to the family was Quent’s smile which reached from ear to ear--- a picture of content from a happy birthday boy.
